CTB Magnetic Separator

Product Overview

CTB series permanent magnetic drum separator is a high-efficiency magnetic separation equipment, suitable for wet separation of fine-grained strong magnetic minerals, as well as iron removal from non-metallic minerals. Widely used in iron ore, coal preparation plants, metallurgy, building materials and other industries.

The equipment adopts high-performance NdFeB permanent magnetic material, with large magnetic system wrap angle, high and reasonable gradient magnetic field intensity, good separation index and high recovery rate. The drum surface magnetic intensity can reach 1800-5000 Gauss, meeting the separation requirements of different minerals.

CTB series is available in three tank styles: concurrent, counter-current and semi-counter-current, flexible selection according to particle size and separation process. Capacity 5-180t/h, core equipment for iron ore processing plants.

Working Principle

Slurry enters the tank through the feed box, and magnetic mineral particles are attracted to the drum surface by the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet system. The drum rotates to carry them out of the magnetic zone where they are discharged as concentrate, while non-magnetic minerals flow out with the slurry through the tailings outlet.

The high-performance NdFeB permanent magnet system features a large magnet wrap angle, high magnetic intensity and reasonable gradient. Surface magnetic intensity reaches 1800-5000 Gauss, delivering good separation performance and high recovery.

FAQ

Which materials is the CTB magnetic separator suitable for?

It is suitable for wet separation of fine-grained strongly magnetic minerals such as magnetite and ilmenite, and can also be used for iron removal from non-magnetic minerals.

How do I choose among the three tank types?

The co-current tank suits roughing of coarse material, the counter-current tank suits cleaning of fine material, and the semi-counter-current tank combines both. Choose by particle size and separation process.

What is the surface magnetic intensity of the drum?

Surface magnetic intensity reaches 1800-5000 Gauss and can be configured according to the magnetic characteristics of the material to be processed.

What is the processing capacity?

The CTB series covers 12 models with capacity from 5 to 180 t/h, meeting the requirements of plants of different scales.
